Fuel Department Field Technician
Job Description
Greens Energy Services is growing and looking for a Field Technician to support the Fuel Department. The Fuel Department Field Technician will be responsible for managing and coordinating the use of Company tanks and necessary equipment for our customers. This position will:
- Coordinate with customers and government entities on all requests for permitting
- Arrange for tank pump-outs and fuel polishing
- Schedule and perform fuel polishing requests
- Manage Home Heat customer tank requests to include supervising all tank removals and clean outs
Additional Job Duties:
- Check equipment and operating systems and correct or repair wherever necessary
- Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards
- Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
- Follow up, completion and submission of work orders and required paperwork
Skills Required:
- Basic mechanical and electrical experience to include cutting and threading pipe
- Show expertise in working both with a team and independently
- Comply with company safety guidelines and procedures
- Requires use of one’s own basic/common hand tools
- Ability to operate industrial equipment like forklifts and bobcats
- Comply with company and customer regulations and policies
- Basic computer skills required
- Manage self positively and politely when interacting with customer base (retail, commercial and residential)
- Be physically fit as lifting and working above one’s head is required
- Valid, clean driver’s license required
