Spring Has Sprung!
Goodbye, Winter!
Spring is officially here. Now is a great time to do a little spring cleaning — but don’t forget your heating and cooling system! Check out the items below to prepare the rest of your home for warm weather:
Replace your air filter:
Be sure your system is not working harder than it needs to with a dirty air filter. This will also help ensure the air circulating throughout your home is clean!
Switch the direction of your ceiling fan blades:
As the weather warms up, use the switch on your ceiling fan to change the direction of the blade rotation. You’ll want to create a downdraft for the spring and summer. And while you’re at it, wipe the dust off the blades.
Change your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries:
This is a good time to remind you to change your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries to make sure your home and family stay safe in an emergency.
Get your annual AC system tune-up:
It’s recommended to tune up your cooling system in the spring so any issues can be fixed before you’re desperate for relief from the heat.
We wish you a safe and happy spring season. As always, give us a call or contact us for all of your heating, cooling, and indoor air quality needs.

What do you like most about working at Greens?
The family-oriented atmosphere.
How has Greens changed since you joined the team?
This year, I celebrated 22 years with Greens Energy and have the opportunity to reflect on the many changes over the years. When I started in 2001, Greens had about 40 employees. Now 22 years later, we are at over 80 employees. I’ve had every view in the building and have been promoted six times. The flow of things in the beginning was less automated. Service tickets for HVAC and oil deliveries were all hand written and filed away. Now, a digitized process saves us time, paper, and filing cabinet space. On a personal note, my two sons have grown up visiting this building being 12 and 8 in 2001, and now 33 and 30. One thing remains constant: every day brings new adventure and the Greens family continues to make Greens Energy a great place to work.
